FRESH VEGETABLE SALAD | |
1 lg. head lettuce, torn into bite size pieces 1 pkg. frozen peas, 10 oz. 1/4 c. chopped red onion 1 sm. cauliflower broken into flowerettes 1 c. sliced celery 1 lg. green pepper, halved, seeded and finely chopped 1 1/2 c. mayonnaise 1 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1 env. Italian salad dressing 12 slices bacon, crumbled Layer lettuce, peas, red onion, cauliflower and green pepper. Spread mayonnaise over salad to cover completely. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over mayonnaise, then sprinkle Italian dressing mix over that. Sprinkle bacon around edge of bowl. Cover bowl and refrigerate 24 hours. At serving time, toss salad well. |
