MEDIEVAL SPICED NUTS 
1 lb. nuts
1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
2 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Any combination of walnuts, pecans, almonds, etc., whole nuts.

Lightly salt nuts and bake on cookie sheet for 8 minutes at 350 degrees; cool. Melt butter and fold into meringue made from stiffly beaten egg whites with sugar and cinnamon added. Fold all ingredients together and lay out on greased cookie sheet. Bake 30 minutes at 325 degrees. Stir the nuts every 10 minutes. NOTE: If using salted butter, do not bake nuts first. Store in air tight containers.
