FRIED CHICKEN 
1 chicken fryer, cut up
1 c. flour
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. onion soup mix (dry)
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. poultry seasoning powder
1/2 tsp. celery powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 c. milk or buttermilk
Oil for frying

Thoroughly wash chicken pieces and dry with paper towels. Mix flour and seasonings and place in a plastic bag large enough to hold the chicken. Close and shake to blend.

Dip chicken in the milk then place in bag with spices and flour a few pieces at a time.

Fry in a generous amount of oil until brown turning to brown all sides. Repeat until all of chicken is brown. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Place in a single layer in a baking pan and bake at 400 degrees F. for about an hour until chicken is well done.
