CHRISTMAS MINCEMEAT BARS 
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons molasses
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
3 tablespoons hot water
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1 pack (9 oz.) mincemeat, separated
3 tablespoons hot milk
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups confectioners' sugar

Heat oven to 400°F. Mix brown sugar, eggs, molasses, butter and vanilla.

Blend flour, salt, soda and spices; stir in. Mix in hot water. Stir in raisins, almonds and mincemeat. Spread dough thin in greased oblong pans.

Bake 12-15 minutes. Spread immediately with mixture of confectioners' sugar, milk and flavorings. Cut into 2 inch bars.
