QUICK NUT BREAD | |
2 eggs 1 c. sugar 3 1/2 c. flour 4 tbsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 c. milk 3 tbsp. melted shortening 1 c. chopped walnuts (1/4 lb.) Beat eggs until light, add sugar gradually. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add shortening, then nuts. Fill well-greased bread pan half full and let stand 20 minutes. Bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees) for 45 minutes. |
