BOILED COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. cocoa
2 1/2 c. oatmeal
1/4 c. chopped pecan nuts
2 tbsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. peanut butter
Powdered sugar for garnish

Combine sugar, milk, butter, and cocoa in a saucepan. Bring to a full boil. Remove from heat and add oats, nuts, peanut butter. Blend very well. Spoon onto waxed paper or cut into square. Also may be shaped into a ball, and rolled in powdered sugar well on every side. Let set until cool. Store in refrigerator. Yield: 5 dozen boiled oat cookies.
