2 1/2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. cocoa
3/4 c. milk
6 tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tbsp. white corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix all ingredients, except vanilla. Bring slowly to a boil. Boil briskly for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Cool to lukewarm, then add vanilla, beat until creamy. Pour into buttered dish.
