FRUIT AND NUT CLUSTERS -
MICROWAVE
 
12 oz. pkg. (2 c.) semi sweet chocolate or vanilla milk chips
1/2 c. toasted slivered almonds
1/2 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. chopped red candied cherries
8 red candied cherries, quartered if desired

Line cookie sheet with waxed paper. In 4-cup microwave safe measuring cup, microwave chips on medium for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring until smooth. Stir in almonds, dates and cherries. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets. Garnish with candied cherry piece. Refrigerate until set. Store in air tight container in cool place. 30 candies.

TIP: To toast almonds, spread in thin layer in microwave safe pan. Microwave on high 3 to 4 minutes or until light golden brown, stirring frequently.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
