1 c. butter, scant
2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix and drop small amounts from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets. Dip fork in beaten egg and press down on cookie. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
