1 Duncan Hines Butter Cake mix baked in three layers.

For frosting:

1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 box powdered sugar
3/4 stick soft butter
1/2 cup milk

Make cake layers, then slice to make six layers.

To make the frosting, mix all ingredients well. Cook until this mixture comes to a boil, then 1/2 minute longer. Cool. Spread on all layers and sides of cake.
