1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 whole egg
2 eggs, separated
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. semi sweet chocolate pieces
1 c. miniature marshmallows
1 c. brown sugar

Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in whole egg and 2 egg yolks. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Combine the two mixtures, blend thoroughly. Spread batter in 9"x13" pan. Sprinkle nuts, chocolate pieces and marshmallows over batter. Beat 2 egg whites stiff; fold in brown sugar. Spread over top. Bake 30 to 40 minutes in preheated 350 degree oven. Cut into bars. Serve warm or cold.
