PUMPKIN PIE CAKE 
1 box yellow or white cake mix
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1 can (1 lb.) pumpkin
3 eggs
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar

Remove 1 cup cake mix and set aside. Mix remaining cake mix with 1/2 cup butter and 1 egg. Pat in bottom of 13 x 9 inch pan. Combine pumpkin, 3 eggs, brown sugar, milk, cinnamon and vanilla; pour over first mixture in pan. Mix remaining 1 cup cake mix with 1/4 cup butter and granulated sugar; crumble over top of pumpkin mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. If desired, serve with whipped topping.
