CABBAGE SOUP 
3 lbs. flanken
1 lg. cabbage
2 cans lg. tomato juice, sauce or paste
2 onions, diced
Sour salt or lemon juice to taste
1/2 c. sugar to taste
Salt
Pepper

Fill large soup pot with water. Bring water and meat to a boil, and skim top. Cut cabbage into strips. Add all ingredients, adding salt, pepper, sugar and lemon to taste. Cook several hours.
