CAKE-LIKE BROWNIES 
CAKE:

2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter
1 c. water
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. sour cream or sour milk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, sugar and soda. Set aside. Combine butter, water and cocoa in a pan, cook to a boil. Pour over sifted ingredients. Mix. Add remaining ingredients. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes in a well greased and floured pan (10 x 15 inches) - (a cookie sheet with 1 inch sides).

FROSTING:

1/2 c. butter
1 box powdered sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
6 tbsp. milk

Prepare about 5 minutes before brownies are done. Cook butter, cocoa and milk in a pan to a light boil. Add to sugar and nuts, add vanilla. Blend well. Spread over brownies while they are still warm. Cool and cut into squares.
