HAM AND POTATO AU GRATIN 
6 lg. potatoes
1 lg. onion
1 lb. ham, sliced into bite sized pieces
1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated or sliced
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. milk
Salt and pepper to taste

Layer in casserole dish, peeled or unpeeled sliced potatoes. Alternate layers, potato, onion, ham, and cheese; repeat until all used. Top layer should be cheese. Dot with butter and pour milk over top. Bake at 350 degrees until potatoes are tender. Serve warm with a small salad or vegetable - a great winter meal.
