FLAMING BANANAS 
8 med. ripe bananas
4 tsp. lemon juice
8 tsp. butter
8 tsp. sugar
3 jiggers brandy or curacao

Peel and remove strings from bananas. Make an incision 1/8 inch deep along entire length of each banana. Arrange close together in shallow baking dish. On EACH banana, sprinkle lemon juice, 1 teaspoon butter, and 1 teaspoon sugar.

Bake in 400 degree oven. In 15 minutes, the bananas should be soft and beginning to glaze. While they are still hot, pour hot brandy or curacao over them, light it, shake dish gently until flame dies out. Serve immediately.
