Med. cucumbers 1 gal. cider vinegar 1 qt. water 1 c. salt 1 c. sugar 1 c. white mustard seed Wash cucumbers and pack them into sterilized jars. Mix vinegar, water, salt, sugar and mustard seed and bring to the boiling point. Pour the hot solution over the cucumbers in the jars and seal at once. Heat the lids so they will seal better. if you like hot pickles, add a pod or two of hot peppers to each jar. |
