STROMBOLI 
1 (16 oz.) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
1/4 lb. ham, thinly sliced
1/4 lb. hard salami, sliced
1/2 tsp. whole basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
3 oz. Provolone cheese, sliced
1 c. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 tbsp. butter, melted

Roll out dough on a floured surface. Arrange ham and salami along middle of dough lengthwise. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon basil and 1/4 teaspoon oregano. Arrange cheese on top of the herbs. Sprinkle remaining basil and oregano on top of cheese. You could add chopped onions and green peppers at this point, if desired.

Moisten edges of dough with water Fold edges over to the center and press together. Brush dough with some of the butter. Sprinkle with cornmeal to prevent sticking. Turn it over. Brush with remaining butter and place on a cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
