LAZY BEEF STEW 
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
1 lb. lean beef chuck
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup red wine
1 (10 oz.) can beef broth or consomme
1 bay leaf
rice or noodles, prepared

Mix flour and bread crumbs and set aside. Cut beef into 1-inch cubes. Put all ingredients except flour mixture into a prepared casserole dish. Mix. Stir in flour mixture. Cover and bake in a pre-heated 325°F oven for 3 hours. Serve with rice or noodles.

Serves 4 to 5.
