CREAM CHEESE/BUTTERSCOTCH
SQUARES
 
1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 c. biscuit mix
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl beat brown sugar and butter together until light and fluffy. Add biscuit mix, stirring until crumbly. Press half the mixture into lightly greased 8"x8" pan and bake 12 minutes. Blend together cream and sugar; add milk, vanilla and egg, blending until smooth. Spread over hot, baked mixture. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture on top. Bake 25 minutes; cool; cut into squares and keep in refrigerator until served.
