SPAGHETTI STEW | |
2 1/2 qts. chopped cabbage (about 1 1/4 lbs.) 1 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 c. sliced carrots (about 4 med.) 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/4 c. butter 5 c. boiling water 4 beef bouillon cubes 3/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 8 oz. spaghetti, broken in half 1 c. cut green beans (about 1/4 lb.) In large pot, cook cabbage, onion, carrots, and garlic in butter 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Add water, cubes, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil. Gradually add spaghetti and green beans so that mixture continues to boil. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally until spaghetti is tender. |
