APPLE BUTTER CRUMBLE PIE 
1 pastry shell
3-4 lg. baking apples
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour (for apples)
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. flour (for topping)
1/2 c. butter

Peel, core and quarter apples. Then halve each quarter crosswise to make chunks. Mix 1/2 cup of the sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and nutmeg. Sprinkle over apples and toss lightly to coat. Spoon into shell. Drizzle with lemon juice.

Mix remaining sugar and flour. Cut in butter with pastry blender until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Cover loosely with foil and bake 1 hour at 425 degrees. Cool completely before serving.
