HAMBURGER SKILLET DINNER 
3 strips bacon
1 lb. ground beef
2 large onions, chopped
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup water
2 potatoes, peeled and sliced
1 large green pepper, sliced
2 tomatoes, sliced
3 stalks celery, sliced
2 cups chopped cabbage

Cut up bacon and fry until crisp. Add hamburger and chopped onions; brown. Add soy sauce, pepper and water. Add the vegetables in layers: potatoes, green pepper, tomatoes, celery and cabbage. Cover and cook over a high heat for 1 minute. Reduce heat and cook slowly for 15 minutes more. Serve.

Makes 6 servings.
