EASY DATE BALLS 
1/2 lb. chopped dates
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 c. crisp rice cereal
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. coconut
Confectioners' sugar

Mix dates, butter and brown sugar together in a saucepan. Stir and cook over low heat until mix begins to bubble. Remove from heat and stir in cereal, nuts and coconut. Roll into walnut-size balls, then cover with powdered sugar. Makes 4 dozen. Store airtight.
