SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
1/2 to 3/4 c. minced onions
1 (15 oz.) can tomato paste
4 cans water
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. basil
1 bay leaf
1/2 lb. Italian sausage
1/2 lb. ground beef
3/4 c. sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 c. vermouth
1 1/2 tsp. sugar

In large saucepan, cook onions, tomato paste, water, garlic, oregano, basil, and bay leaf. Brown sausage and ground beef. Drain and add to sauce. Add cheese. Add vermouth and sugar. Cook approximately 2 hours.
