First Layer:

1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
2 tbsp. sugar

Mix all together. Press in 12x8-inch pan or baking dish.

Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes. Cool.

Second Layer:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1 c. Cool Whip

Mix and spread over First Layer.

Third Layer:

2 boxes same flavor instant pudding mix (either coconut, lemon or butterscotch can be used)
2 1/2 c. milk
Cool Whip

Mix together pudding mix and milk; spread over Second Layer. Top with Cool Whip. We like butterscotch better than any other flavor.
