PEANUT BUTTER RICE KRISPIE
SQUARES
 
1 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. Rice Krispies

TOPPING:

6 oz. pkg. chocolate bits
6 oz. pkg. butterscotch bits

Heat sugar and syrup over moderate heat, stirring frequently until mixture boils. Remove from heat. Add peanut butter and mix. Add Rice Krispies and stir until well blended. Press into buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. For topping, melt chocolate and butterscotch bits together over hot, not boiling, water. When well blended, spread evenly over Rice Krispie mixture. Cool, then cut into bars. These can be made without topping.
