OREO COOKIE CAKE 
1 (1 lb.) bag Oreos
1/3 c. butter, melted
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
1 (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup
1 (12 oz.) carton Cool Whip

Crush cookies; mix with melted butter. Reserve 1 1/2 cups cookie mixture. Pat the rest into the bottom of 13 x 9 inch pan. Slice ice cream and place on crumbs. Spread to cover evenly. Pour chocolate syrup over ice cream. Spread Cool Whip over syrup. Sprinkle reserved crumbs on top. Freeze several hours before serving.
