BACON FRIED CARROTS | |
Pare, then slice one pound carrots. Chop one small onion. Fry 4 slices bacon until crisp in a medium skillet. Remove bacon and set aside. Add carrots and onions to bacon drippings and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover and cook slowly until barely tender. Uncover, cook turning occasionally until carrots are slightly browned. Pour into serving dish and top with crumbled bacon. |
