CHICKEN CHOW MEIN | |
1/4 c. butter 1 med. onion, chopped 2 c. celery, sliced 1 1/2 c. chicken broth 2 1/4 c. chicken, diced 1 can bean sprouts (16 oz.) 1 can water chestnuts (5 oz.) 1 can mushrooms (4 oz.) Melt butter, fry onion 3 minutes. Add celery and broth. Simmer 5 minutes. Stir in chicken, bean sprouts, water chestnuts and mushrooms. Simmer 5 minutes. Combine 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 1 teaspoon sugar, 2 tablespoons water to flavor and thicken. Serve with rice and fried noodles. |
