BEER BREAD 
3 c. self-rising flour (or 3 c. Bisquick)
3 tbsp. sugar
1 (12 oz.) can beer

Mix well. Put in loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Brush top with well-beaten egg whites, if desired. Let bake 15 minutes longer. Cool at least 15 minutes before slicing.

VARIATION:

Add 2 cups grated Cheddar cheese. Add 2 tablespoons diced Ortega chiles or salsa.

When using the variations, bake at 375 degrees for 60 minutes. Great with soup! Makes 1 loaf.
