CHESS TARTS 
Line muffin tins with pie crust and fill crust with the following mixture.

FILLING;
1 c. sugar
1 c. shredded raisins (cut)
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
2 tsp. grated lemon rind
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs

Separate eggs and beat whites in bowl. Cream shortening, sugar, salt and add egg yolks, raisins and nuts. Add beaten whites. Fill cups and bake at 350 degrees for about 20 to 25 minutes. (I buy pre-made pie crust. Tastes just as good.)
