THE BEST NUT GOODIE BARS | |
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips 2 c. peanut butter 2 stick butter 4 1/2 c. powdered sugar 1/2 c. cream 8 tsp. vanilla pudding (not the instant) 1/2 tsp. maple (must have) 1 lb. salted peanuts (without skins) Melt chips in microwave (4 minutes on high - in glass container). Stir in peanut butter. Pour 1/2 mixture into buttered pan; refrigerate. Keep remainder at room temperature. Put sugar in large bowl. Bring butter, cream and pudding to boil for 1 minute. Pour over powdered sugar and mix well. Add flavoring. Stir in peanuts, by hand. Spread over cooled chocolate layer. Spread remaining chocolate mixture over peanut layer. Cool before cutting. Must be refrigerated. Can be frozen. |
