BEOREG | |
The beo in the word Beoreg is pronounced like "bu". 1 box frozen filo dough that has been thawed in the refrigerator 2 eggs 1/2 bunch parsley chopped finely 1 lb. cheddar cheese, grated 1 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, grated 1 lb. Muenster cheese, grated Pepper to taste 1 lb. sweet butter 1 egg, beaten Pastry brush Take dough out of package and cut into thirds. While using one third at a time keep rest of dough in plastic package to keep moist. Mix all ingredients together except 1 beaten egg and the sweet butter. Melt butter. Lay dough out flat one sheet at a time. Brush one sheet with butter and then take a teaspoon of cheese mixture and lay on dough. Fold over dough into the shape of small triangle, enough to cover the cheese mixture. Continue folding in the shape of a triangle until the entire sheet has been used. Each triangle will have many layers because the dough is long. Butter top and bottom of finished triangle lightly and then place on a buttered cookie sheet with the ends on the bottom. After completing one tray of Beoreg, brush all triangles with the beaten egg. Heat oven to 400 degrees and bake for approximately 20 to 30 minutes or until light golden brown. Occasionally cheese does ooze out the sides. |
