WISCONSIN APPLE SLICES 
CRUST:

2 c. flour
2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. salt (opt.)
3/4 c. lard
1 egg, beaten with milk

FILLING:

6 c. apples, sliced
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
Cinnamon

Combine flour, salt and lard, mix as for pie crust. Add milk, egg mixture. Roll out 1/2 dough and spread in 13"x9" oblong pan. Combine filling, mix together, spread out on crust in pan. Roll out remaining dough and cover apples. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until top crust is golden brown. Cool and cut into squares. Tastes like apple pie.
