CHOCOLATE RAISIN BREAD 
1/4 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. cocoa
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. raisins
3/4 c. nuts, chopped

Cream butter; add sugar, blending well. Add egg; beat well. Add all dry ingredients, then the buttermilk a little at a time. Mix very well; add raisins and nuts. Pour into a greased bread pan (9 x 5 x 2 3/4 inches) Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 1 hour or the toothpick test. This bread is very good served with cream cheese, especially with chocolate cream cheese.
