DATE NUT ROLLS 
3 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Pinch of salt
3 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. dates
1 1/2 c. nuts
1 tbsp. vanilla

Mix sugar and cream of tartar. Add milk, butter, and salt. Cook to soft ball stage. Cool to lukewarm. Beat until thick. Add dates and nuts; roll into wax paper.
