ITALIAN PARTY CAKE | |
1 (10 3/4 oz.) frozen pound cake, thawed 1 (16 oz.) carton Ricotta cheese 1/2 c. sugar 2 (1 oz.) sqs. unsweetened chocolate, grated 1 c. grated peeled apple 1/4 tsp. almond extract 1 c. whipping cream, whipped 1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts Cut pound cake into thin slices. Combine cheese, sugar, chocolate, apples, and almond extract. Mix well. Spread cheese mixture between cake slices. Reassemble into a loaf. Chill overnight. Just before serving, frost with whipped cream and sprinkle with walnuts. To serve, slice diagonally. Yield: 10-12 servings. |
