AUNT LESLIE'S CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
2 1/2 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter
1/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (3 1/2 oz.) pkg. Jello instant vanilla pudding
2 eggs
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Mix flour with baking soda. Combine butter, sugar, vanilla, and pudding. Mix in large mixer bowl. Beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chips and nuts. Batter will be stiff. Drop by rounded measuring teaspoonful about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 5 to 6 dozen cookies.
