CZECHOSLOVAKIAN BAR COOKIES 
1 c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks, beaten
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. strawberry or raspberry jam

Cream butter and sugar. Add yolks, flour, and nuts. Mix thoroughly. Batter will be stiff.

Spread half of mixture in bottom of ungreased 9-inch square pan. Spread jam on top of first layer. Press remaining batter on top of jam. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
