1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1 2/3 c. Wondra flour
1/2 c. soft butter
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 drops red food coloring

Mix all of the above ingredients in a large bowl for 3 minutes at high speed. Pour into two 8-inch or 9-inch pans which have been greased and floured. Bake for 35 minutes in 350 degree oven. Fill and frost with rich cake frosting to which 3 drops of red food coloring have been added.
