BASIC DUMPLING DOUGH 
1 c. biscuit mix
1/4 c. plus 1 tbsp. milk

Combine ingredients. Drop by spoonfuls on hot chicken mixture. Cook over low heat 10 minutes, uncovered. Lift off dumplings, ladle chicken stew into individual serving dishes. Put dumplings on top.

DIFFERENT DUMPLINGS:

2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cold water

Mix above to make stiff dough. Roll real thin. Let dry, cut in thin strips. Add to boiling broth until tender.
