OYSTER STEW 
1 pt. fresh oysters
1 stick butter
Salt and pepper
1 can evaporated milk
1 qt. milk

Put oysters in saucepan with 1 cup water, salt and pepper. Cook until edges of oysters curl. Remove from heat, add evaporated milk, milk and butter; return to heat and stirring constantly bring just to the boiling point. Do not bring to a boil or milk will curdle.
