PEPPERMINT BARK | |
1 (1 lb.) pkg. almond bark 1 (7 oz.) pkg. peppermint candy (broken candy canes work well) Crush peppermint candy into pieces as fine or course as you like it. (I use a food processor this makes it easier). Set aside till bark is melted. Break bark into pieces and place in 3-quart bowl. Microwave at 50% power for approximately 5 to 6 minutes (stirring after 3 minutes) until pieces are soft. Do not over cook. Add candy to the melted bark and stir well. Spread on wax paper or parchment paper 1/8 to 1/4-inch thick. Cool on counter or fridge until hard. Break into pieces. Freezes well for months. HINT: I buy broken candy canes after Christmas and crush to have ready for the next year, just store in air tight container. I also have candy molds of candy canes that use this in, just another fun idea! Submitted by: DONNA FELIX |
