MAGICAL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1 (4 oz.) Hershey bar
2 c. flour
2 1/2 c. oatmeal
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Recipe can be doubled to make about 10 to 12 dozen.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream melted butter and sugars in a large bowl. Add eggs and vanilla. Grind oatmeal in blender until it turns to powder. Mix oatmeal with flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Then add to butter mixture. Add chocolate chips, nuts and Hershey bar (chopped into small pieces).

Place balls onto cookie sheet, ungreased. Bake for about 6 minutes. (I usually take cookies out of oven before they look done and let them sit on a cookie sheet for 1/2 to 1 minute. This makes them chewy and not crunchy.)
