SAVORY GARBANZO SOUP 
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, pressed
1 tbsp. olive oil
2 cans (14 oz.) garbanzo beans (chick peas), drained
2 c. McKays chicken broth
1-2 tsp. dried savory or thyme
2 tbsp. yeast flakes

Put onion, garlic and oil in a 2 quart microwave safe bowl or deep casserole. Cover with vented plastic wrap and mi-crowave on high 2-3 minutes, stirring once, until onions are tender. Stir in garbanzo beans, broth and savory. Process in batches in blender, until smooth.

Pour back into bowl, cover and microwave on high 6-8 minutes, stirring twice, until hot and slightly thickened. Top each serving with yogurt and parsley. Serves 4.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
