1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Mix thoroughly shortening, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar and egg. Blend in flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Cover and chill.

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll ball in chocolate chips. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Flatten with spatula. Bake 10-12 minutes. Makes three dozen cookies.
