STEAK 'N' FRIENDS | |
2 lbs. round steak 4 slices smoked ham (wafer slices) 1 large tomato, sliced thin 1 (4 oz) can of sliced mushrooms 1 (4 oz.) can diced chilies ½ cup diced onion ½ cup grated Jack cheese 1 pkg onion and mushroom soup mix (dry) 1 plastic browning bag Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Have butcher cut steak thinner than normal; pound steak to tenderize. Layer ingredients in order starting with smoked ham and ending with Jack cheese. Roll steak in a jelly roll style and tie with several strings to secure. Sprinkle dry soup mix over top and place in plastic browning bag, securing end. Place filled bag in roasting pan and puncture in several places to allow steam to escape. Bake 45-60 minutes. Cut in jelly roll style to serve. Serves 4-6 people. Submitted by: Karron Owen |
