CRUSTY CASSE ROLLS 
2/3 c. milk
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. warm water
1 pkg. dry yeast
2 c. flour

Scald milk, stir in sugar, salt and 1 tablespoon butter. Melt the rest of the butter and cool. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Combine milk mixture, yeast and flour. Beat until smooth and elastic. Brush lightly with butter. Cover and let rise (until double) about 25 minutes. Stir dough down and drop by tablespoon into casserole with half of the butter in the bottom. Pour the rest of the butter over the top of the rolls. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 minutes.
