#5 FIREHOUSE SPECIAL GARDEN
SALAD
 
1 c. white shoe peg corn (or use whole grain yellow corn)
1 med. can pimentos
1 med. onion, chopped
1 can French style green beans
1 can green peas
1 c. sugar
2/3 c. cider vinegar
1/2 c. salad oil
1/2 tsp. celery seed
Dash salt
Pepper to taste

Drain and combine corn, pimentos, onion, green beans, and peas. In a saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, oil, celery seed, salt, and pepper; heat until sugar is dissolved. Pour over vegetables and refrigerate 6-8 hours before serving.
